Fourth meeting of the LIFE Phoenix Steering Committee

The LIFE Phoenix project, an initiative of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and coordinated by GESPLAN, held the fourth meeting of its Steering Committee on 18th and 19th November 2025. The meeting reviewed the technical and financial status of the project to date.

Tuesday 18th was devoted entirely to the technical review of the actions, with a special focus on project management (Work Package 1) and concrete conservation actions (Work Package 3). On the other hand, financial issues were the main focus of Wednesday 19th, with discussions on the budget implementation status for the interim report (scheduled for March 2026) and resolving questions raised by partners regarding economic justification.

The next technical coordination meeting for the project is scheduled to take place in person on the island of Gran Canaria during the first week of February 2026, coinciding with the second project follow-up visit by the monitoring team appointed by the European Commission.
