Project impact monitoring and evaluation

Monitoring and Evaluation

In this task a comprehensive set of specific indicators has been selected to assess the performance of the project in relation to the expected results. In addressing the elements considered also during the preparatory actions for the establishment or updating of the baseline, the same variables and methodologies will be used in order to ensure comparability over time. The indicators are organised according to the specific objectives set out in the project, with additional sections for general socio-economic indicators and replication/exploitation of results:

  • Improvement of the general conservation status of priority habitat 9370*.
  • Development of a strategy for prevention, early detection and control/eradication of pests and plant IAS affecting habitat 9370*.
  • Implementation of an ex-situ conservation strategy.
  • Reduction of direct anthrophic impacts on Phoenix palm groves in Crete (overgrazing and visitor pressure).
  • Implementation of a roadmap on environmental governance for habitat 9370*.
  • Increase in public awareness (stakeholders, students, visitors and local population).
  • General socioeconomic indicators.
  • Sustainability, replication and exploitation of project results.
