LIFE Phoenix first meeting

The LIFE Phoenix project, an initiative of the Council of Gran Canaria coordinated by GESPLAN, has just held its first Steering Committee meeting, divided into two sessions held on 6 and 8 November. The team reviewed all the administrative and technical aspects related to the implementation of the project, as well as the first preparatory actions that will be carried out until September 2024.

The studies and evaluations included in these first actions, as well as the plans, protocols and manuals that will be drawn up as a result of them, will be used to pilot and coordinate the next phase of the project, which will focus on the development of specific conservation actions in the selected palm groves on the islands of Gran Canaria and Crete.
